Ending Period Poverty in Africa
Ending Period Poverty in Africa.
The Ending Period Poverty Project is a partnership project between HDPi, our International Partners, and the Ghana Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection with the aim of tackling the issue of “period poverty” in a holistic manner through menstrual hygiene education and distribution of innovative sanitary products to schoolgirls in deprived communities and also to vulnerable women.
The main objective of the SEPP Programme is to improve girls’ well-being. The goal is to improve school retention, school performance, and self-confidence among girls and therefore reduce premature pregnancy and premature marriage, and other vulnerabilities.
